πŸš€Getting started

Swift Cart is a complete cart drawer replacement for your Shopify store β€” no code needed. You can customize the cart title, colors, and checkout button, but also add a free shipping progress bar, spending reward tiers (e.g. unlock a gift at $75, free shipping at $150), a discount code field, product upsells, a banner image or video, countdown timers, security badges, payment icons, and much more. Everything is configured visually and goes live the moment you save.
Installation takes under 60 seconds. Go to the Shopify App Store, search for "Swift Cart" or click our direct link, then click Add app. Shopify will ask you to approve the required permissions β€” approve them, and the app is live. No theme edits, no code, no developer.
None at all. Swift Cart was built specifically for merchants, not developers. The entire setup is done through a visual interface inside your Shopify admin. If you can click a color picker and type a word, you can fully customize your cart drawer.
Yes β€” every new install includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. If you decide Swift Cart isn't for you, just uninstall before the trial ends and you won't be charged anything.
Most merchants are fully set up in under 2 minutes. You install, open the settings panel, pick your colors, set your cart title, and hit save. Pick a plan in the plan page in the app and enable Custom cart Drawer in the app embed. That's it β€” your customized cart drawer is immediately live for all visitors.

Swift Cart gives you control over every section of the cart drawer through 23+ configurable modules. Here's what you can customize:

Appearance: cart title, background color, text color, checkout button color and label, border roundness, drawer width (desktop & mobile), overlay style.

Modules you can add: free shipping progress bar, multi-step spending rewards, discount code field, product upsell recommendations, recently viewed products, banner image or video, countdown timer, order notes field, shipping protection checkbox, security badges, payment method icons, return policy text, continue shopping link, and more.

All modules can be enabled, disabled, reordered, and configured independently from the settings panel.
Yes β€” Swift Cart includes a live preview that shows exactly how your cart drawer will look as you make changes. Nothing goes live until you click "Save". What you see in the preview is exactly what your customers will see.
Button text customization was added in v1.4.0 (May 2026). You can now set any label for your checkout button β€” "Complete my order", "Pay now", "Proceed to checkout", anything you want. This option is available in the Button section of the settings panel.
Currently, Swift Cart applies one global style to your cart drawer across your entire store. Per-product or per-collection styles are on our roadmap. If this is important to you, let us know at support@fairpoint.store β€” merchant feedback directly shapes our feature priority.
Yes. In the Swift Cart settings, there's a "Reset to defaults" button that removes all customizations and reverts your cart drawer to the original Shopify theme styling instantly.
Yes. The free shipping bar is a built-in module that shows customers how close they are to qualifying for free shipping. You set the threshold amount (e.g. $75), and Swift Cart displays a live progress bar that updates as items are added or removed. It's one of the most effective AOV-boosting features in the app.
Yes. The progress rewards system lets you define up to 4 spending tiers, each with its own reward. For example: spend $50 β†’ 5% discount, spend $100 β†’ free gift, spend $150 β†’ free shipping. A progress bar in the cart shows customers exactly how close they are to the next reward. Discounts and free gifts are verified server-side via a Shopify Function, so they can't be exploited.
Yes. The upsell module displays product recommendations directly inside the cart drawer, right before the checkout button. You choose which products to feature, and customers can add them to their cart with one click β€” without leaving the drawer. This is a proven way to increase average order value without being intrusive.
Yes. Swift Cart includes a built-in discount code field module. Customers can enter and apply promo codes directly inside the cart drawer without having to wait until checkout. The code is validated in real time and the discount is reflected instantly in the cart total.
Yes. The banner module lets you display a custom image or short video inside the cart drawer β€” great for promoting a sale, a loyalty program, or a seasonal offer. Supported formats: PNG and JPG (up to 10 MB) and MP4 video (up to 50 MB). You upload the file directly from the Swift Cart settings panel.
Yes. Swift Cart includes a template library with 50+ pre-built cart designs organized into 9 style groups β€” minimal, bold, seasonal, and more. You can apply any template in one click and then fine-tune it from there. Templates are a great starting point if you want a polished look without configuring everything from scratch.
Yes. Swift Cart has full French and English support with 90+ translatable strings. You can manage all labels, messages, and button text directly from the Languages section in the settings panel. Yes. The countdown timer module displays a live timer inside the cart drawer β€” useful for flash sales, limited-time offers, or "order in the next X minutes for same-day shipping" messaging. You configure the duration and the message text from the settings panel.

Swift Cart is designed to work with all Shopify themes, including popular ones like Dawn, Debut, Impulse, Prestige, and Turbo. It uses Shopify's standard cart drawer API, so it integrates without conflicting with your theme's existing styles. If you run into a compatibility issue, contact us and we'll fix it.
Yes, fully. Swift Cart is responsive by design. Your custom cart drawer looks great on all screen sizes β€” desktop, tablet, and mobile. The customizations you apply in the settings are automatically adapted for each device.
Swift Cart is compatible with most popular Shopify apps including upsell apps, review apps, and loyalty apps. Since it only styles the cart drawer (not cart functionality), there are very few conflicts. If you notice an issue with a specific app combination, reach out to us at support@fairpoint.store.
Swift Cart works with themes that include a cart drawer. If your theme uses a full cart page instead of a drawer, the app won't have a drawer to customize. Most modern Shopify themes (especially Online Store 2.0 themes) include a cart drawer β€” you can check your theme settings or ask us and we'll confirm compatibility for your specific theme.

Instead of a flat monthly fee, Swift Cart charges based on your monthly order volume. Merchants with fewer orders pay less. Here's the full schedule:

An order is counted when a customer completes a purchase on your Shopify store β€” the same definition Shopify uses for its own billing. Cancelled or refunded orders that were already counted in your monthly volume are not retroactively removed, but they're a negligible factor at normal return rates.
If your order count exceeds the current tier's limit mid-month, your plan automatically upgrades to the next tier. Billing is handled through Shopify β€” you'll see the adjustment in your next Shopify invoice. You'll never be cut off from the app due to order volume.
Yes, absolutely. You can uninstall Swift Cart at any time directly from your Shopify admin. There are no contracts, no cancellation fees, and no hoops to jump through. Billing stops as soon as you uninstall.
No. You can install Swift Cart and use all features for 14 days without providing any payment information. Billing only starts after the trial ends, and only if you choose to keep the app.
Yes. Swift Cart Pro+ is an add-on tier ($10/mo on top of your base plan) that unlocks advanced features including upsells before checkout, advanced analytics (upsell conversions, abandoned carts, revenue attribution), and access to premium templates. All core customization features β€” colors, title, progress bar, modules β€” are available on the standard plan, which also includes basic tracking (cart opens and checkout conversion rate).
Yes, on all plans. The standard plan includes basic tracking: cart open rate and checkout conversion rate. With Pro+ you unlock the full analytics dashboard: upsell click-through and conversion, abandoned cart tracking, and revenue attributed to your cart. All metrics are visible directly inside your Shopify admin.

Swift Cart is built for performance. It injects a small amount of CSS only when the cart drawer is opened β€” it does not add any scripts to your main page load. Our average impact on store speed is less than 5ms, which is undetectable in real-world use and won't affect your Google PageSpeed score.
No. Cart drawers are not indexed by search engines. Swift Cart only modifies the visual style of the cart drawer component, which is rendered client-side and has no impact on your store's SEO or crawlability.
When you uninstall Swift Cart, your cart drawer immediately reverts to your Shopify theme's default styling. There's no residual code left behind β€” the app is cleanly removed. Note that your customization settings are stored in Shopify metafields and are removed along with the app on uninstall, so you'll need to reconfigure them if you reinstall.
Yes. Swift Cart only requests the minimum Shopify permissions needed to run its features. We don't access customer personal data or payment information. Our data handling practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
Swift Cart requests only the permissions needed to power its features:

read_orders β€” to count monthly orders for usage-based billing.
read_discounts / write_discounts β€” to create and apply automatic discounts for your progress rewards and free shipping offers.
write_metaobjects / write_metaobject_definitions β€” to store your cart settings securely as Shopify metafields.
write_products β€” to fetch product data for the upsell module.
read_locales β€” to detect your store's language and apply the correct translations.
read_themes / write_files β€” to install the cart drawer extension into your active theme.

No customer personal data or payment information is ever accessed.
Progress rewards (discounts, free gifts, free shipping) are verified server-side using a Shopify Function β€” a secure piece of logic that runs inside Shopify's infrastructure before checkout. This means reward conditions are checked against the actual cart total, not just what the browser reports, so they can't be manipulated. Discount codes are also validated in real time via our API before being applied.
